Studying in Bayreuth

Global Change Ecology M.Sc.

The international, English-taught master’s programme Global Change Ecology (GCE) is unique within the environmental sciences. Answers to current problems of global change are not found solely in environmental sciences, but rather also require an understanding of social sciences. Students are put in a position to relate environmental changes of a physical/chemical and ecological nature to social structures. The objective of the programme is to investigate and predict the effects of certain environmental changes (especially climate change) and to train highly qualified leaders in research, the environment, industry, and politics.

The focus areas “Ecology & the Environmental Sciences” and “African Studies” provide an ideal setting for the master’s programme Global Change Ecology.

The language of instruction is English.
